This is our Spring Beach cleanup. We will get the beach in shape for the summer, and make our beach the place to be this summer.
We will do things a little differently this year. Volunteers can select a task from the list below, and perform that task anytime between May 15 and May 25. We'll have the necessary materials onsite before May 15.
Just send us an email at LakeLackawannaNJ@gmail.com with your selection, and the day and time when you'd like to do it. We'll post that information on our web site calendar.
- Cleanup flower bed in front of fence
- Plant new flowers in flower bed
- Rake sand from water
- Install lifeguard stand
- Install ladders on short dock, far dock
- Install swings
- Remove sticks, weeds from swing mulch area
- Spread mulch around swing area
- Weed and mulch around bulletin board
- Rake sand
- Remove grass in sand
- Clean out shed
- Weed stones around bike rack
- Put up volleyball net
- Re-position sand in volleyball area
- Mow grass
So bring your gloves, rakes, shovels, and energy to the beach. Let’s get the beach ready for a great summer season.
